Im a lucky girl.. about 11 years ago .. ( or more) I made the best decision of my life.. to move to Kingsville to attend TAMUK.. I will admit that I was kicking and screaming.. I was afraid.. I was homesick.. all that good stuff.. but I stuck it out.. and now this is the town I call home..
I have heard many people say Kingsville is a black hole that sucks you in.. now I agree that it does suck you in .. but I would not call it a black hole.. This is just one of those towns that you grow to love.. just the right size.. with all the right people..
The people are by far the reason I love it.. I have a solid group of friends that are like family to me.. they know everything, they understand everything.. and we have a good time.. most of them still live in the area.. although some of them have moved away.. because life has done that.. they were the ones that graduated and moved.. I was the one who graduated and stayed.. but either way.. I have great great Friends..
I love my "college" friends.. everyone has some.. everyone knows someone who .. if it wasn't for college.. they would not be in their life..

Lamar Mira and I have been friends for a long long time.. can pretty much say we have been through ALOT.. Mira is a teacher and is married , to another college friend and they have a precious little girl Adelyn..they are great parents and its fun to watch them be one of the first to experience this.. we all are little moms to adelyn.. well actually Tia's .. Lamar is a teacher and has a super great family that lets me pretend I am a real part of it all the time.. Her and I are alot alike.. independent and smart.. well duhh all my friends are smart.. but yes.. love these girls..

We went to Wurstfest in New Braunfels last weekend.. Boone and Kashe are in a German dance class, we went to see them preform.. it was super cute.. the weather was beautiful and the food was wonderful.. I was glad we took the trip up there.. I will admit that it was different than I expected.. but really cool.. :) Mom and Dad were there also .. it was a whole family affair.. :)
My parents are very funny.. a very unlikely couple to be honest.. My dad is a jokester and always the life of the party.. My mom on the other hand is always neat, very proper and super mom style.. now grandma style..shes super funny too... when they get laughing.. watch out.. its funnnnnny.. I guess its true what they say.. opposites attract.. they balance each other out.. and have made what I like to think of.. as a pretty cool little family.. I am a good mixture of both of them.. i believe..
